Mr. Marvin Middleton

At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Sunday January 22nd, 2012, Mr. Marvin “Shorty” Middleton of Chatham in his 89th year.  Cherished son of the late Delbert and Effie Middleton.  Beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Lozon).  Loving father of Michael of McGregor and David and his wife Debbie of Tecumseh, and father-in-law of Sue Middleton of Windsor.  He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Kristie and Chris, Michael and Rosie, Robert and Caitlin, Cathy, Matt, Stephanie and Jay, and Patrick, and his six great grandchildren.  Dear brother of Lyle and Glenn Middleton and sisters Jessie Poole and Loretta Droullaird.  Predeceased by his sons Larry (1998) and Patrick (2006), and his six brothers and three sisters.  He was a long time and dedicated member of Branch 628 Royal Canadian Legion. Family and friends are invited to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington West, Chatham, 519-352-2710 on Wednesday January 25th visiting from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.  The funeral service will be conducted from the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday January 26th at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Anderson.  Cremation to follow with interment Maple Leaf Cemetery at a later date.  Members of the Royal Canadian Legion are asked to gather for a Memorial Service at the Funeral Home on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m.  Friends planning an expression of remembrance are asked to consider the Legion Poppy Fund.  On-line condolences may be left at www.alexanderfuneralhome.ca
