
Teena de Jonge (nee Van Gorkum) passed away Tuesday January 31st, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer. Teena was born December 17th, 1937 in Arum, Holland. Daughter of Anna Van Gorkum and the late George. Teena was the beloved wife of Abraham for over 30 years. Our mother leaves behind James, David, Ronald, Daniel and Kathy and their spouses along with her 13 wonderful grandchildren. Older sister of Frank (deceased), Gretta, Fred, Ted, Don and Richard. Teena led a Christian life. She enjoyed many travel adventures and was a Big Sister. Teena owned a successful interior design business all while battling Multiple Sclerosis for over 44 years. She will be missed by her family and many friends. “She was one strong woman” who loved the Lord. A big thank you to Dr. Sullivan, nurse Mary Beth and the rest of the PCCT (Palliative Care Consultation Team).
