Mr. Steven Spicer

With his wife and two girls at his side, Mr. Steven Spicer of Chatham in his 69th year, passed peacefully after a brief illness at Chatham-Kent Hospice on Tuesday February 11th, 2020.  Cherished son of the late William and Mable Spicer.  Beloved husband of Margaret (Craig).  Loving father of Leah Elliott and her husband Morgan of Oakville, and Laura Taylor and her husband Mike of Chatham.  Special grandpa of Ethan Elliott and Carson Taylor.  Steven was looking forward to the birth of Carson’s new baby sister soon.  Dear brother of Don, David, and John Spicer, and predeceased by his sister Eleanor King.  Marg and Steven met on Valentine’s day as a blind date 50 years ago.  Steven was a man of few words with a gentle soul.  His favourite time of year was tomato season.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Cremation has taken place.  Interment to take place at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington West, Chatham, 519-352-2710.  Friends planning an expression of remembrance are asked to consider the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.  On-line condolences may be left at www.alexanderfuneralhome.ca
