Mr. Oscar Leclair

It is with great sadness that the family of Oscar Leclair announce his passing on Thursday March 29th, 2018 at his residence in his 84th year.  Cherished son of the late Leo and Edna (Delanghe) Leclair.  Beloved husband of Annette (VanDeWynckel).  Loving father of Jack (Carole), Frank, Brenda (Rick) Anderson, and Ron (Krista).  Oscar will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Ryan (Lacey), Kevin, Melissa (Brad), Nicole (Shawn) McLachlin, Michelle (Ken), Michael (Lindsey), Nathan, Kylie, Chantal (Matthew)Van Esse, Amanda (Matthew) Curtis, Derrick, and Alana and his 15 great grandchildren.  Beloved brother of Art(Corrie), brother in law Jack Van Raay, sister in laws Alice Vanek, Georgette VanDeWynckel, and Kathleen VanDeWynckel.  Predeceased by his granddaughter Judy Newcombe and sister Margaret Van Raay.  Oscar farmed most of his life, and when he wasn’t busy farming he was taking his children to the ball park or the arena where he often helped out as a coach or manager. Once the children grew up, you would still find him at the arena or the ball park or the gym supporting his grandchildren.  When he slowed down from the farm, he moved to Mitchell’s Bay where he spent numerous days both summer and winter fishing in the bay and providing his family with a generous supply of fresh perch and pickerel. In his spare time he loved to play cards with family and friends and will be greatly missed by all.
