Mrs. Mary Zarebski

Born in South Wales May 17th, 1925. Passed away in her 93rd year on April 19th, 2018 at Riverview Gardens, Chatham, Ontario.  Cherished daughter of the late Rudhall and Catherine Skinner.  Reunited with her beloved husband Stefan (1998).  Dearest sister of her only surviving sibling John Skinner and predeceased by her sister Kathleen Martin. Loving mother of John and Christine.  Adoring grandmother to Steven, Joseph and Zachary.  Survived by family and friends, in Canada, England, Australia, and Poland.  Mary was a teacher with the Windsor Separate School Board.  She taught primary school for many years and took great pride in her profession as a teacher.  She was generous of heart and loved her grandchildren dearly.  Special thanks to Renee Zarebski who visited and helped Mary often. A thank you to Angi Chiu and Bonnie Burke who heard many of our mom’s stories over the years.  Also, thanks to Maureen and Faye Geddes.  Our family is so grateful for the kind and compassionate care she always received from the staff at Riverview Gardens and Dr. Parry over the years.  Family and friends are invited to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington West, Chatham, 519-352-2710 on Monday April 30th with visiting from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 180 Wellington St. West, Chatham, on Tuesday May 1st at 10 a.m. with Father Don Pumputis celebrant.  Interment Arnold Cemetery.  Parish prayers will be held in the funeral home on Monday evening at 7 p.m.  Friends planning an expression of remembrance are asked to consider the Sheppard’s Way Inn or the Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent.
